Position Summary

The overall objective of the assignment is to equip and strengthen partner organizations with the skills needed to develop, design, and write good quality, effective proposals. More specifically, the training should:

  • Participants acquire an understand of the features of a logical, well-designed project
  • Participants understand the steps and activities required to prepare and ensure good, logical project design.
  • Potential applicants understand the process and key components for a good funding proposal with the related annexes such as; standard concept notes, narrative proposals, logical frame, financial plan, work plan…etc.
  • Participants acquired the knowledge of the standard way and templates of donors’ standard reports in terms of language, cohesion, text composition, main and additional information, texts formats usage of footnotes, and other formats of reports.  
  • Participants are able to develop a good quality application (especially theory of Change)

DELIVERABLES

The trainer shall provide and transmit, under the advice of DKH team, a curriculum which achieves the following deliverables:

  • Provides 5 days in person training in Aden 
  • Providing the training in the English language
  • Provides Methodology, training agenda and training materials in soft copy two days before the course. 
  • Provide interactive training sessions for the participants which help them acquire the needed expertise.
  • Provide a certificate of completion for the participants (official certified trainer).

QUALIFICATION, EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

a)    Demonstrable prior experience in providing proposal writing trainings and provide such material upon request.
b)    Demonstrable prior experience in providing technical writing format trainings and provide such material upon request.
c)    Ability to deliver products according to the specified technical requirements.
d)    High level of English speaking and writing skills.
e)    Demonstrable prior experience in providing proposal writing trainings and provide such material upon request.
f)    Demonstrable prior experience in providing technical writing format trainings and provide such material upon request.
g)    Ability to deliver products according to the specified technical requirements.
h)    High level of English speaking and writing skills.
