Job Description

Position Summary

Supporting the implementation of food security programmes

Objective 1 : Collect information and data on food security:

Activities :

• Participate actively in initial training sessions, pilot surveys and debriefing 
• Carry out household surveys
• Conduct regular post distribution monitoring of beneficiary households
• Ensure coherence of collected information  
• Report any problems and constraints 
• Propose possible improvements.

Objective  2 : Implementation of Food security and livelihood activities:

Activities :

• Under the direction of the team leader, undertake food security and livelihood activities
• Help in beneficiaries and community follow up
• Explain the project’s activities and objectives to beneficiaries

Objective  3 : Represent the Organization when liaising with its partners:

Activities :

• Explain the project’s activities and objectives to partners and the population ;
• Act as a link between the Organization and the beneficiaries.

Qualifications Needed

• High School Leaving Certificate or equivalent

Required Skills:-

• Capacity to communicate with people
• Good team spirit
• Good human relationships
• Good knowledge of the survey area
• Knowledge of local languages and culture
• Good knowledge of cash transfer programming
