Position Summary

Action Contre la Faim (ACF) is looking to fill the role of Liaison Assistant who will working closely with the Liaison Officer to provide administrative support to the management of visas, travel permits, translation of official documents with the aim of maintaining and ensuring smooth relationship between ACF and relevant authorities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1.  In collaboration with the Liaison Officer, management of visa/residence permits for international employees which includes entry visa, residency, final exits and extensions in relation with the authorities;
  2.  Translation and submission of documents which includes but not limited to drafting and submitting official letters and documents to relevant authorities ensuring ACF activities are facilitated in compliance with the authorities and acceptable practices in Yemen.
  3.  Preparation and submission of travel permit request ensuring all administrative procedures and followed and approved
  4.  In collaboration with Logistics team, follow up on the departmental procurement request and lines related to liaison and security.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct all duties in a professional manner in accordance with the mission’s Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct, Internal Rules and Regulations, mandate and charter of principles including promotion of gender equality.
  • The employee is also required to remain alert and responsive to any child and adult safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills to promote strong safeguarding practices, and conduct duties in a manner consistent with the mission Safeguarding Policy.

Required Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • Degree in a relevant field;
  • Planning and organization skills with the capacity to pay attention to details;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications;
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in English and Arabic;
  • Experience in establishing working relationship with authorities preferably;
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of ACF. In particular, a good understanding of the ACF mandate and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin all aspects of the job.   
  • Commitment to ACF code of conduct.
