Position Summary
This role is responsible for implementing the cash for nutrition activities in line with the cash assistance principles, including cash distribution for vulnerable households registered in the nutrition program. He/she will ensure that targeted beneficiaries are selected according to the eligibility criteria, described in the program proposal in coordination with the health and nutrition team, hence ensuring implementation of the project by the IMC (International Medical Corps) set standards and protocols.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the Nutrition supplemental cash assistance activities are implemented with technical guidance provided by the supervisor and nutrition team, the Cash transfer Assistant, will provide key linkage between beneficiaries and IMC.
- Liaise and follow up with the community committees on the Nutrition supplemental cash assistance activities implementation based on agreed deliverables from beneficiary registration, facilitation of pre-distribution training, organizing distributions, and field data collection at baseline, post-distribution monitoring, and end line).
- Conduct beneficiary sensitization for Nutrition supplemental cash assistance programs at the village level.
- Participate in the distribution process, including beneficiary verification and commodity voucher redemption.
- Take the lead of the registration of HHs in the West Coast targeted areas.
- Conduct 100% Door-to-door HH Verification for the registered IYCF corner beneficiaries, and redemption of cash ID cards accordingly.
- Preparing to conduct cash distribution by following up with the bank and arranging the distribution each month as required
- Supported by the CHVs team, the cash transfer assistant will ensure that CHNV-HPs are well-oriented about the Cash assistance for nutrition.
- Supported by the CHVs team, the cash transfer assistant will ensure that all beneficiaries of cash assistance will receive intensive IYCF promotion by the CHN-HPs at HHs.
- Carry out baseline, Endline, and Post distribution monitoring of program activities.
- Supported by the Health and Nutrition teams, the Cash transfer assistant will ensure that Cash assistance beneficiaries attend IYCF counselling sessions and receive the key MIYCN-E messages.
- Ensure the targeted beneficiaries are fully aware of how to spend the provided cash according to their children’s daily nutrient requirements, and how to budget for procuring nutrient-dense foods for their children.
- Ensure that all children living in HHs registered for Nutrition Supplemental cash assistance are monitored by MUAC at their registration and monthly during and after enrolment.
- Train, organize distributions, and collect field data (baseline, post-distribution monitoring, and end-line).
- Prepare monthly activity plans for the program’s implementation.
- Maintain positive relationships and collect feedback, including challenges that will form the basis of project evaluation and for adjusting project intervention modalities.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all people involved in project implementation and maintain the highest standards of behavior when working with the targeted communities.
- Perform weekly review of achievements and constraints; and provide feedback accordingly.
- Write weekly updates to update implementation at the district level.

Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field such agriculture, food security, veterinary science and relevant studies
- At least 2 years of experience implementing Cash assistance for food security and livelihood strengthening programs with an International Organization or Local Organization.
- Good organizational capacity – including documentation of beneficiary lists, baseline and post-distribution monitoring database
- Ability to speak and write in English will be an added advantage
- Excellent relational/interpersonal skills; conducting community sensitization and awareness sessions.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel
- Good report writing and oral communication skills.
